March 15, 2026 — Spring clothing drive
Thank you to everyone who dropped off gently used spring and summer items. The community clothing closet is well stocked, and everything available to guests is free. Donations are welcome during open hours. -

Team members tabled at a neighborhood event to share resource flyers and invite neighbors to programs. Photos and quotes can go here when you have a real recap.
2025 food & hunger updates
Month by month: how we showed up with groceries, hot meals, and dignity for neighbors without enough to eat—including many who are unhoused or in unstable housing.
-
December 18, 2025 — Winter meal & pantry bags
Volunteers packed shelf-stable bags with soup, peanut butter, crackers, and cocoa mix, plus holiday treats. Dozens of neighbors facing homelessness or couch-hopping picked up bags alongside families using the pantry during open hours. -
November 22, 2025 — Thanksgiving fixings
Thanks to donor turkeys, stuffing, potatoes, and pie supplies, we distributed complete holiday meal kits. Staff and volunteers delivered a small route to seniors and unsheltered neighbors who could not travel to the site. -
October 14, 2025 — Fall harvest weekend
A local farm dropped off squash, apples, and greens; we paired them with beans and rice from the pantry so guests could cook balanced meals at home or at a shelter kitchen. -
September 9, 2025 — Back-to-school hunger blitz
We added extra snack packs, juice boxes, and easy dinners to pantry carts for families with kids returning to class. Outreach handed water and meal vouchers to neighbors sleeping outside near transit stops. -
August 6, 2025 — Heat-wave hydration & ready-to-eat food
During a hot stretch we prioritized bottled water, electrolyte drinks, and no-cook items (tuna kits, fruit cups, granola bars) for people without steady shelter or kitchen access. -
July 11, 2025 — Summer meal bags
Volunteers assembled grab-and-go lunches with sandwiches, fruit, and chips for weekday distribution. Several guests told us these bags bridged the gap until evening shelter meals. -
June 5, 2025 — Community cookout & resource table
We served grilled hot dogs, sides, and cold drinks on the lawn and invited anyone hungry to eat—no questions asked. Tables listed pantry hours, SNAP info, and where to find nightly meal programs downtown. -
May 8, 2025 — Produce pop-up
Partner volunteers brought cases of fresh vegetables; we set up a “choose your own” line so pantry guests and neighbors living in their cars could take what they could store and prepare. -
April 16, 2025 — Easter weekend staples
We loaded carts with eggs, bread, ham slices, and sides for spring holiday meals. Extra shelf-stable boxes went to a nearby encampment outreach team for same-day handoffs. -
March 12, 2025 — Pantry deep clean & restock
Teams rotated inventory, dated cans, and filled gaps in protein and baby food. The refreshed shelves meant faster pantry visits for families and individuals experiencing homelessness who rely on Wednesday and Saturday pantry access. -
February 4, 2025 — Canned-goods drive wrap-up
Schools and churches dropped off beans, vegetables, and soup by the pallet. We sorted and labeled everything for dignified choice—especially important for guests who walk or take transit with limited carrying space. -
January 15, 2025 — New year, warm meals
We kicked off the year with hot soup, bread, and coffee on a cold Saturday alongside regular pantry hours. Volunteers passed out hand warmers and printed cards with 211 and local shelter meal schedules.
